WHAT WE DO
COUNSELLING
Regular counselling for both the individual and their loved ones will help to relieve anxieties and aid in recovery. During the sessions, help-seekers are encouraged to share their experiences so that there can be mutual support and they will realise they are not alone in facing the problem. Members who are in the midst of recovery will also be tasked to mentor or encourage newcomers to ensure their recovery.
OUR HISTORY
Established in April 2013, Adullam Life Counselling is a registered society that provides counselling, practical support for the individual, and also for the affected family during their financial crisis.
The centre acts as an intermediary between the help-seekers and their legal creditors by negotiating on a possible repayment plan. We also provide advice and crucial support to those who are troubled by illegal money-lenders (loan-sharks).

On average, we have helped approximately 500-700 cases per year with a success rate of 80 to 90% of our help-seekers paying-off their moneylender over a period of time after seeking help with us. We also have a growing team of volunteers who are passionate about helping members of the public to overcome the vicious cycle of excessive borrowing.

We are a registered Social Service Agency with the National Council of Social Service. Agencies such as the Moneylender Association of Singapore (MLAS), Insolvency and Public Trustee’s Office (IPTO), various Grassroots Committee and moneylenders themselves are also working with us, referring people to Adullam Life Counselling.
